What time is The Match 2022? TV schedule for Tom Brady-Aaron Rodgers vs. Josh Allen-Patrick Mahomes golf match

Let the games begin.

The start to the NFL season is 3 1/2 months away, but that doesn’t mean its biggest and brightest stars can’t have a little fun now.

Enter The Match, a 12-hole celebrity golf event that raises money for charitable organizations, including Feeding America. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have taken part in the event over the years.

This year’s edition of the competition features an all-NFL cast, both in name and stature. Brady and Rodgers are teaming up, and they’ll be facing off against budding superstars Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. It’s a classic clash of styles: aging veterans vs. the young and brash. What could be better?

Here’s everything you need to know about The Match, including start time, date, TV channel and streaming options:

What time does The Match start in 2022?

  • Date: Wednesday, June 1
  • Time: 6:30 p.m. ET

Coverage of The Match will start at 6:30 p.m. ET from Wynn Golf Club in Paradise, Nev., on the Las Vegas Strip. The 6,722-yard, par-70 course was the site of Brooks Koepka’s win over Bryson DeChambeau in the last playing of The Match in November 2021.

The course features a slew of interesting obstacles, including steep elevation changes. Twelve of the 18 holes on the lush course have water hazards, adding to the difficulty.

Allen, Brady, Mahomes and Rodgers possess four of the strongest cannons in the NFL. It’ll be interesting to see how that physical strength translates on the Wynn Golf Club carpet.

What channel is The Match on?

  • TV channel: TNT, truTV, HLN

This year’s Match will return to the Turner Sports umbrella. TNT will be the primary location, with simulcast options on truTV and HLN.

Players will be mic’d up for the event, and they’ll be able to communicate with the broadcast team, just like last year. If the commentary is anything like what was heard at this year’s PGA Championship, we could be in for some interesting banter.

Last year’s event featured a host of special guests, including Charles Barkley, Larry Fitzgerald and Cheyenne Woods. This year’s event will be hosted by TNT “Inside the NBA” host Ernie Johnson, and the analysts will be Charles Barkley, J.J. Watt and Trevor Immelman. Amanda Renner will report from the course.
