The Blues are heading to the USA for their pre-season tour. Enzo Maresca’s squad have a busy schedule ahead of them in the States, facing the likes of Wrexham, Celtic, Club America, Manchester City and Real Madrid from July 25 to August 7 as part of preparation for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
The 25-year-old has been with the club since he was eight, although he spent loan spells at Ipswich, Huddersfield Town, and Lorient. Despite amassing 80 appearances for his boyhood club, it appears he might have played his final game for the Blues, as he was brutally axed from the pre-season tour squad.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chalobah was told to stay behind because Chelsea believes they are well-covered at center-back with Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, and Tosin Adarabioyo.

Despite having four years left to run on the long-term contract he signed in 2022, Chelsea is eager to cash in on him this summer, given his slim prospects for regular game time.
According to The Telegraph, the London giants is aiming to recoup £25 million ($32m) for the fringe center-back, maintaining the same asking price as last year. The player himself has not shown any inclination to leave his boyhood club. However, it seems like Chelsea, desperate to raise funds from transfer sales, is pulling out all the stops to force him out the door.
