With Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee already though the door at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s drastic shift in approach towards transfer window under the new INEOS-shaped transfer team is for everyone to see this summer as they look to shape a new-look team for Erik ten Hag ahead of the 2024/25 season.
While more incomings are in the pipeline, the Red Devils also need to move on players and raise capital to balance their books, having already sold Mason Greenwood earlier in the week.
Another player who spent last season out on loan was Facundo Pellistri, with the Uruguayan winger spending the latter half of the season at Spanish side Granada.
Erik ten Hag handed a fair few opportunities to the 22-year-old since his 2020 move but he failed to impress and looked far too inconsistent for a club of United’s stature.

In La Liga, the former Penarol star scored twice and provided two assists in 15 appearances, notably making a strong impression against Barcelona.
Pellistri’s contract with United runs until 2025, and the Red Devils are open to a sale. According to journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, Greek Super League side Panathinaikos are the latest club to express interest.

Corinthians, Flamengo, Besiktas, and Boca Juniors have all shown interest in acquiring Pellistri’s signature recently following his bright showing at Copa America in USA, where he helped Uruguay to achieve a third-place finish.
It remains to be seen whether this develops into something concrete and Panathinaikos actually table a bid to sign the Uruguayan international this summer.
