Victor Wembanyama towers over just about everyone he’s ever played against.
This remains true at the 2024 Paris Olympics as he suits up for the French national team. The 20-year-old is playing in his first Summer Games and had 19 points, nine rebounds, four steals, and three blocks in his debut against Brazil.
Wembanyama is listed as the tallest player at the 2024 Olympics, and he’s set to match up against the shortest player at this year’s Games. France plays Japan on Tuesday, July 30 in group play. Japan’s Yuki Togashi is the shortest player among men’s basketball players.

Tallest players at 2024 Paris Olympics
Wembanyama stands alone atop the tallest players at the Olympics list. He’s the only player taller than 7-2. Georgios Papagiannis is in second place at 7-1. There are multiple other 7-1 players, but Papagiannis is 0.01 meters taller.
France has two of the top three tallest players at the Games. Rudy Gobert slides in at 7-1 for third place.

Shortest players at 2024 Paris Olympics
Togashi is the shortest player at the 2024 Paris Olympics by two inches. He stands at 5-6. Japan also has the second shortest player in Yuki Kawamura, who is 5-8.
Puerto Rico has three players in the top 10, including NBA player Jose Alvarado. France has the third shortest player at the Games in addition to having two of the top three tallest.
