Olympics men's golf schedule: TV channels, live streams, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy tee times at 2024 Paris Games

Despite being one of the longest-played and most-watched sports on the planet, golf is fairly new to the modern Olympics scene, and the upcoming 2024 Paris Games are only the fifth at which the world’s best golfers will be going for the gold medal as representatives of their respective countries’ teams.

Two early editions of the Summer Olympics in 1900 and 1904 hosted a then-amateur golfing tournament, before a 112-year hiatus saw the sport wiped off the Olympic calendar until it made a triumphant return in 2016. This time around, golf returns to the city in which it first debuted at the Olympics 124 years ago – France’s capital, Paris.

The PGA Championship in May and last weekend’s Open Championship saw Xander Schauffele, the US men’s gold medal winner at the delayed 2020 Games in Japan, win his first two Major Championship titles, and that’ll give him and the rest of the four-player American team, also featuring Scottie Scheffler, hope of back to back Golds.

With Schauffele, Scheffler, and other contenders like Ireland’s Rory McIlroy all going tee-to-tee for medals in Paris, The Sporting News has everything you need to know about the men’s golf tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games, including TV and streaming options for each day of the competition.

2024 Paris Olympics men’s golf tee times

The US team have twice as many players as any other nation competing at this year’s Games, and as if their ‘favourites’ credentials weren’t high enough, all four are ranked within the world’s top seven.

Scheffler leads the way as the world’s number one player, with double-major winner Schauffele not far behind in third. They’re separated by McIlroy – still the world’s number two despite recently missing the cut at the Open Championship – but two more exceptional players in Wyndham Clark and Colin Morikawa are also along for the ride in Paris.

McIlroy gets underway at 5:44 a.m. ET, while Scheffler begins at 6:06 a.m. ET
