Bayern Munich Sporting Director Max Eberl has admitted he is uncertain if Jamal Musial will sign a contract extension at the Bundesliga giants.
Musiala’s current deal runs until 2026, and the club are aware of growing interest from Premier League champions Manchester City, as they prepare to make a move.
Eberl confirmed a new deal for the German international, with talks ‘intensifying’ over his future, as Bayern Munich look to retain their star asset for the long-term.

Musiala recently stated he is not actively considering a move away from Munich, despite the rise of transfer speculation, with his immediate focus lying in Bavaria.
Eberl hinted the chances of a deal could rest with Musiala being convinced by the club’s ability to challenge for the UEFA Champions League as negotiations are set to begin before the end of 2024.
“It’s difficult, but not impossible – because Jamal knows what he has at Bayern. He grew up here and has brought himself to this level”, as per reports from Sky Sports Germany, via Sport1.
“Talks are intensifying and we as a club are extremely ambitious. He knows that, he wants to win titles.”
Bayern Munich have won all three of their opening Bundesliga games this season and their Champions League campaign kicks off at home to Dinamo Zagreb on September 17.
